Adam White

Adam White is the AVP of Development for Encircle. As a member of the senior leadership team, he oversees the strategic direction for fundraising efforts and corporate partnerships for the organization.

Adam joined the Encircle team in 2019, and his various roles have provided invaluable insight and experience as he has advanced through the organization. Beginning his journey with Encircle as a volunteer, Adam has held roles such as: event director; home director for both Encircle Provo and Encircle Salt Lake; director of programs; senior director of operations; and his current role as AVP of Development.

Originally from Fresno, California, Adam moved to Utah to pursue his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University before earning his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. An actor and singer, Adam enjoys performing in local productions, brunching with friends, as well as hiking and enjoying Utah’s beautiful outdoors. He lives in Salt Lake City with his partner of 12 years.

Before joining Encircle, Adam was a special education teacher and director at two different high schools. He was a member of the Youth Advisory Council with The Trevor Project, where he received the Trevor Youth Innovator Award for promoting LGBTQ+ advocacy in Utah through an innovative media campaign. He also received the Courage Award from the Utah Pride Center for organizing the It Gets Better video for the USGA at BYU. His work was also recognized when he received the Young Trailblazer Award from Logo TV/MTV for inspiring LGBTQ+ youth of faith to embrace authenticity and community.
