As CEO of Fat Fish Media Group and Co-Founder of Clear Lamp, Cole works extensively in the Entertainment and Live Event industry in Utah. Providing live event production services such as lighting, audio, staging, world-wide artist touring, video, broadcast, event planning and large-scale corporate event execution for many companies and arts groups. An accomplished lighting designer and production director, the artistic medium of light is his passion. Cole is proud to have provided the production and design support for the 2019 Allies Gala at the Eccles theater with Billy Porter. He is excited to continue with future Gala’s and events for Equality Utah.
Cole is also a Professor at the University of Utah School of Dance. He teaches lighting design and production communication skills to graduate and undergraduate students majoring in Ballet and Modern Dance. For 15 years he has been teaching dancers how to bring their choreographic ideas to fruition through the creative design and collaborative process.
Cole has served since 2011 as a board member for SB Dance, a local non-profit dance company specializing in subversive work combining dance, theater, multi-media production and irreverent humor. He served as board president for his final 2 years.
