The Equality Utah College Ambassador Program brings together students from across the state, from various universities and colleges. As an ambassador, you'll champion LGBTQ rights on your campus, engage with local and state politics, and forge meaningful connections within your community.
This program offers a distinctive chance to join a forward-thinking, civic-minded group of college students. You'll gain invaluable insights from local leaders, government officials, and the dedicated team at Equality Utah, all while driving positive change in your college community.
As part of this program, ambassadors are awarded $2,000 over two semesters. Additionally, you'll be treated to an all-expenses-paid, 3-day Legislative Summit. We'll take you up to the Capitol to demonstrate our approach to effective advocacy. You'll witness firsthand the strides made for LGBTQ people in Utah through the legislative process, providing a profound understanding of how change is enacted.
This position is for you if you:
Program begins Fall Semester 2024 and ends May 2025.
Must be actively enrolled or accepted for Fall ‘24 and Spring ‘25 in one of the following schools:
1. University of Utah
2. Utah State University (statewide campuses)
3. Weber State University
4. Southern Utah University
5. Snow College
6. Utah Tech University
7. Utah Valley University (statewide campuses)
8. Salt Lake Community College
9. Brigham Young University
10. Westminster College
