We provide endorsed candidates with the tools they need to succeed, including monetary contributions, campaign guidance, organizing tools, and other get-out-the-vote efforts.

Equality Utah began as a Political Action Committee (PAC) in 2001 under the name Unity Utah. We were the first PAC in the state with the focus of supporting LGBTQ-allied candidates.

Each year, we receive over 100 requests from candidates seeking our endorsement or support. But we don’t endorse just anyone. To earn our support, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to bridging divides, consideration of the LGBTQ community in their decision-making, and a well-run campaign that is both viable and impactful.

Over the years, we’ve been proud to help elect leaders who work for fairness, compassion, and dignity for all Utahns.
