• 01 Advocacy

  Equality Utah

  Equality Utah, an IRS 501(c)(4) organization, is the state’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization. We lead efforts for LGBTQ equality at both the state and local levels by sponsoring pro-LGBTQ legislation, opposing harmful bills, amending existing laws, lobbying elected officials, building coalitions, and empowering individuals and organizations to engage in the legislative process.

  These efforts have resulted in significant victories, including banning conversion therapy for minors, securing nondiscrimination protections in housing and employment, and advancing inclusive policies that safeguard LGBTQ families and individuals.

  Equality Utah Foundation

  The Equality Utah Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, focuses on educating the public about issues facing the LGBTQ community and empowering youth to become effective advocates though our collage ambassador program. We also invest in young emerging leaders through scholarship opportunities.

  The Foundation extends its reach to Utah businesses through the Business Equality Leader program. This initiative fosters belonging in the workplace by providing workshops and presentations that help LGBTQ employees and allies find common ground, build on shared values, and work proactively toward equality.

  Political Action Committee (PAC)

  The Equality Utah Political Action Committee (EUPAC), an IRS 527 organization, is a statewide PAC focused on electing Pro-Equality candidates.

  The PAC carefully evaluates and endorses candidates who demonstrate a commitment to finding common ground and consideration for the LGBTQ community in their decision-making. We provide these candidates with the resources to help them succeed.
